Bilge level switches and bilge alarms are safety critical components for detecting liquid in voids. They need to withstand years of installation in difficult environmental conditions, yet operate immediately and reliably to indicate leakage or flooding.
Fully Submersible Marine Approved Bilge Water Alarm / Bilge Level Switch
PSM has focussed on quality and longevity in the design of the BLS 9200 flood detection switch. Constructed from all 316 stainless steel the detection float is fully protected by a robust shroud and the integral cable is fully encapsulated to ensure complete protection against submersion.
The integral manual checking device in the BLS 9200 allows for simple checking of operation. Siting and mounting are simple, requiring only a two bolt fixing. The self-draining, fully shrouded design prevents any interference of operation from obstructions or floating debris.
Due to the harsh environments that the BLS 9200 is likely to encounter, for example when used as a bilge water detection switch onboard ships it has been fully tested to ensure it exceeds the required environmental testing for Marine Type Approval as defined in IACS Unified requirement E10 and the relevant sections of IEC945, and is therefore fully Type Approved.
